Hi, i am planning to purchase a laptop from curry's and i guess i am entitled to get the VAT refund as i am not a EU resident. I have spoken to curry's and they say they will provide me a VAT refund form. So all i want to know is whether i can get my VAT refund as on the spot cash at heathrow airport on the day of my return. I will be purchasing the laptop on cash and i don't have a credit card or any account to provide them, so i would like to get the refund as cash. Please advise

HMRC will not refund the VAT to you. Curry's will.

When you buy the goods, you arrange with Curry's how you want to receive the refund. They give you all the necessary forms.

When leaving the UK you go the Customs office with the goods and the forms. You leave the forms with them, and after you have left they will send them back to Curry's with authority to give you the refund.
