Are they still doing working tax credits? Or have the torries got rid of them? My wife and I are both working and have two children. Is there anything else we can claim for (apart from child benefit) ?

WTC still exists and the Tories are actually expanding them to younger people and those working part-time. You can claim if you are both working 16 hrs pw between you (amount increases if you work 30+ hrs). You should already be claiming child tax credit, you are entitled to that when you earn up to £40k pa however you won't get WTC if you earn over around £18k pa between you. Hoep that helps!

yes
just google 'working tax credits' and you'll get all the information you need
you can even do the 'mock' form online which will give you an approximate amount of what you
might receive
if your children are still in education (not University) you may qualify for child tax credits as well
What's the point?

Yes, and child tax credits, but depends on household income.
Have a look on the HMRC website for details and the online calculator.
Depending on income, possibly also Housing Benefit.
